This is a matte painting I did on some down time. I orignally had done a speed painting of the environment and decided to turn it into a matte painting of a fantasy landscape. It was done through photos and digital paint. It was orginally painted at 4000px wide. Hi everyone,

This image was based around the idea of a boy lost in the forest, and in his journey he meets a friendly tree creature. Through serveral thumbnail sketches and color comps, I wanted the forest to look warm and inviting for the final matte painting. It was Painted at 4000px wide. Thanks everyone for taking a look!

Hello Everyone,
I thought I would share one of my old paintings that i did about a couple months back. I was Inspired with some photography of the Boyden Caverns. I envisioned that caverns can be pretty spooky at some times and usually you may get some light pouring in to let you know that your not in complete darkness, like the old saying goes " light at the end of the tunnel". Let me now what you think, comments and critques are very welcome.
